"My mother’s childhood home in Baghdad was castle-like.  When she and I visited Windsor Castle years ago, my mother suddenly ex-claimed:  'Look, Eli! We had at home a carpet exactly like this one!'  Who knows, maybe the Queen of England 'bought' my mother’s carpet after mother had to leave her home."

The paintings were exhibited at a gallery in an old Ottoman house in Jaffa.
